Poor sleep has been linked to several factors that can lead to weight gain, or make it harder to lose weight.

    It didn’t matter if one or both of the partners were not sleeping well, the consequences were equally severe.

    Try going to bed earlier if you are always fighting with your partner.

    3. Your Sex Drive Is Improved By Sleeping

    Are you too tired to have sex? It could be that you’re not getting enough sleep. Your libido will drop dramatically if you have lower energy levels, more stress, or just plain tiredness.

    One study that involved college students showed that participants who slept for an extra hour were 14% more likely than those who slept less. A lack of sleep can also reduce sexual desire.

    Women who slept longer had better vaginal hygiene and overall improved libido.

    Poor sleep can lead to a drop in testosterone levels, which can have an adverse effect on sex desire.

    4. You Will Be A Better Driver If You Sleep Well

    You already know that driving and drowsiness don’t mix. You may not be aware of how dangerous sleep deprivation can make driving safer.

    Drunk driving is just as dangerous as drunk driving. According to the NHTSA, 846 people died from drowsy driving in 2014.

    Even mild fatigue or drowsiness can pose a danger.

    Good sleep makes you more alert and can help you spot danger earlier than it is too late.

    Research has also shown that Alzheimer’s and dementia are linked to a lack of sleep, particularly REM sleep.
