Purple PowerBase, a premium base with a lot of features, is an adjustable base that can be adjusted to your needs.. Although it is more expensive than other adjustable bases, we believe the Purple PowerBase’s higher cost is worth the benefits. It is not an expensive product.

The Purple PowerBase has all the standard features of other adjustable bases, as well as additional ones such as True Resonant Frequency massage, under-bed lighting and smartphone control.

About Purple PowerBase

The Key Features

1. Remote control wireless

The Purple PowerBase, like most adjustable bases comes with a wireless remote control. This one is more advanced than others, with more options and features to customize your sleeping experience.

The usual button allows you to raise and lower the base’s head or bottom independently. Motors work smoothly and make very little noise.

Three presets allow you to automatically adjust the base for a specific position. You can choose from the following preset positions: anti-snore (raises the head to open your airways and reduces snoring), zero gravity (great for back relief), flat (returns the bed to its normal position).

2. Four Memory Buttons

You can also program your preferred positions to be accessed with just a click.

Some adjustable bases only have one or two memory buttons. Purple PowerBase offers four memory buttons, so you can program more positions.

One can be used for TV and one for reading. You might also have one for work. You can have each program in the position you prefer for you and your partner when you’re alone.

3.

Inbuilt Massage

The Purple PowerBase comes with a massage. We would expect nothing less for its price.

Purple refers to it as True Resonant Frequency Massage. We don’t even know what it means. Customers say it’s better than any massage feature on most adjustable bases.

You can choose from five different comfort/intensity levels until you find the one that puts you to sleep.

4. 4.

Turn on the under-bed lighting if you awaken in the middle of night. The soft lighting will not wake up your partner and prevent you from spraining your toes.

5. Remote Control Cradle for USB Outlets

A cradle is placed at your bedside to hold the remote control. Purple has placed the USB outlets in the cradle, but it does more than just hold the remote. One is at the front, and one is at the back.

6. 6.

The companion iOS app for your iPhone allows you to control the Purple PowerBase.

The app includes all of the features found on the remote control, plus extras like routines, dual base control from one smartphone and user profiles.

Construction & Design

Purple PowerBase is a strong, heavy-duty structure made mostly of metal. It can support 386 kg (includes the mattress).

The Purple PowerBase has two corner brackets that will hold your mattress in place when you adjust it.

These brackets prevent the mattress from sliding forward and also prevent the mattress from tilting upwards if you raise its bottom.

We also love the adjustable leg height. You have three options when setting up the base. This allows you to place the bed at the most comfortable height.

The overall quality of the Purple PowerBase’s build is excellent. There have been reports of some features not working as expected. However, the warranty will resolve the issue.

The Purple PowerBase is heavy. It will require assistance to set it up and you can’t move it on your own.

You will need brackets to attach your headboard to the Purple PowerBase. These items are available for around €70 on Reverie’s website(Reverie is responsible for the production of the Purple PowerBase.

Compatibility With Mattresses

Purple PowerBase can be used with any mattress with an adjustable base. These include hybrid, latex, memory, innerspring, and innerspring mattresses.

Ask the seller or retailer where you purchased it if the mattress can be used with an adjustable base.

Price

Purple PowerBase is more expensive than many adjustable bases on the market. The current price list for Purple is available on their official website.

You may be eligible for financing if the Purple PowerBase is too expensive for you. Purple partners with Splitit and Affirm to offer monthly payments that are either zero or low-interest.

Customers Feedback And A Sleeping Experience

Customers love the Purple PowerBase. It is easy to use and works well. It is especially useful for people who suffer from insomnia.

There are complaints about some features suddenly going out of whack. You may find the bed stuck in one position and need to take out the pin to get it to lie flat.

Purple doesn’t offer returns or a trial period so you might be stuck with a poor base.

Purple offers a 20-year warranty if you have any problems with the adjustable base.

But Reverie is the one who issues the warranty. Purple will refer you to Reverie because their customer service is poor.

Only a handful of customers have had problems with Purple PowerBase. Hopefully, you won’t have to contact the manufacturer.

If you don’t feel like spending a lot on an adjustable base that could fail, you might consider a more affordable and reliable base with fewer failure points.
